The South African Krugerrand is the most recognized and sought after bullion coin in the world. It is extremely liquid as almost all world banks buy Krugerrands. When first minted, the Krugerrand made up nearly 90% of the gold market. This coin was produced at the Rand mint and depicts Paul Kruger on the obverse and the Springbok on the reverse.
